Edward Varias is a L.A. based interior designer, teacher and avid traveler. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture from California State University Long Beach. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Education from Argosy University. His thesis focused on embedding phases in interior design education. Edward had worked with JS Sugita & Associates and Gensler before becoming a principal for his own firm. He’s designed numerous variety of commercial and residential projects which entails programming, space planning, branding, materials specification, furniture, furnishing and equipment (FF&E), and construction administration.
His diverse work experiences have made him flexible to any interior design projects which include the renovation of Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers International Airport (Gensler), Beverly Pediatric Medical Group, Eric Hanan Jewels - flagship store, Princess Cruise line’s Internet Café (Gensler), and the Beverly Hills home of Asia's most beloved actor, Jackie Chan. Edward has been featured in numerous design publications, lifestyle magazines, and has appeared on the Discovery Channel.
Edward Varias shares his passion for interior design through his lectures, seminars and workshops. He maintains his own practice - EV Design, and is design professor for the Interior Design Department at the Art Institute of California-Hollywood and at UCLA Extension.
